AI policy
We do not give permission for AI to copy our content
All of the content on this website is copyrighted to Content Design Ireland (2026). We do not give permission for AI to copy part or all of this website.
We do not use AI when we create content
In our website, course materials, social media promotion and anything else we create, we do not use AI. We have taken this decision because we believe in protecting:
- intellectual property
- human creative skills
- our planet
We also disagree with the harm that AI companies have caused in building their products, for example to the underpaid and undervalued workers involved in training AI to identify traumatic content.
The use of AI is leading to cognitive decline in humans who outsource their thinking.
The thinking processes involved in creating content are part of the journey.
Tools we use
We use automatically generated captions and automatically generated transcripts to make our courses more accessible. However, we manually edit automatically generated transcripts for accuracy.
If you need AI as a reasonable adjustment
AI has some practical uses for accessibility. If you need it, we will not question you. We respect the need to use AI tools for practical accessibility assistance.
If you need an AI notetaker to attend one of our courses, we have to get permission from course attendees for the notetaker to attend. We’ll happily arrange this, but please give us at least 2 weeks’ notice before the course date.
Some of our courses include discussing sensitive topics. We will ask people to turn off AI notetakers for these sections.
